Railcar Transloader System – Complete LPG Transfer Solution
Description
Designed for efficiency, safety, and reliability, this complete railcar transloader system provides everything required for unloading and transferring LPG products from railcars to bulk storage facilities. Built on a 2015 Freightliner M2 106 chassis, this self-contained unit combines a heavy-duty aluminum flatbed platform, an integrated hydraulic knuckle boom system, multiple liquid and vapor transfer lines, emergency shutoff systems, and a Blackmer LB601 compressor into a single package designed for demanding field conditions.
The unit features a 96-inch-wide aluminum flatbed with a diamond-tread deck, stake pockets along the sides, and an integrated stairway and work platform capable of safely reaching the top of railcars up to 13 feet in height. The hydraulic crane-mounted platform is equipped with adjustable safety stops, hydraulic outriggers, and conveniently located controls for efficient operation.
Three liquid transfer lines and two vapor transfer lines run the length of the stairway, providing multiple transfer points and allowing operators to efficiently move product while maintaining strict safety standards. Emergency shutoff valves, grounding systems, color-coded hose connections, integrated blow-off lines, Betts LED work lights, a fire extinguisher, and wheel chocks further enhance the system’s safety and usability.
Built for long-term service, this transloader has been meticulously maintained throughout its life. In 2024, the unit underwent extensive maintenance, including replacement of the VGT actuator, cleaning of the DEF system, replacement of the SCR system, installation of new filters and gaskets, replacement of outrigger seals, installation of a new block heater and power cord, repairs to air leaks, maintenance of the speed reducer, and servicing of the turret rotation motor.
With only 1,288 miles and 7,486 operating hours, this unit represents an excellent opportunity for companies looking to add dependable railcar unloading capabilities without the expense and lead time associated with purchasing new equipment.
